Wed, November 7, 2007 - 4:06 PMQuestion: My mom is interested in signing up, but she knows that if she does it is non-refundable. However, she lives up in Erie and Erie being what it is, she doesn't want to risk spending the money and then getting snowed in and not being able to make the treck down 79. (She also hates driving in snow, period.)
Would she be able to sign up the day of? If not, what should I suggest to her? -

Ah Erie....It can be like the Bermuda triangle of snow can't it? Just a year ago I rode though a snow storm that only existed around Erie. There was a foot of snow on the ground and this was in the middle of October.
I swear that it could snow there in July.

Thu, November 15, 2007 - 1:07 PMi think it's like living near a fault line, or a volcano... bad stuff doesn't happen so often that you ever really bother to move away, it's just that every once in a while, you really regret being there. or you have a snowmobile (less helpful for volcanoes, of course, but great in erie!:)
