Years ago, Christine, Elizabeth (Khafif), Jen and I were known as the cane dance girls in Ghawazee. We performed several cane dances at countless festivals and art events for years. I recently took a fabulous cane workshop by Majda of Awalim that reminded me of how much I LOVE the cane dance. So, I've unearthed some of the moves/ technique and styles from back in the day, and I have added a bit of new material, too. Please join me for this upbeat, fun workshop based on Egyptian cane dances and the saucy Saidi rhythm.
