As always Khafif's music is stuck in my head as I move through my mundane tasks this week, trying to keep some of the Pennsic magic with me. Thank you so much for patiently learning our song this year and being great about rehearsals! And the light in Neefa eyes when she mimed cradling a baby in her performance at the Cure Sallee will stay with me forever. So many lovely memories from Pennsic this year... me, Pacita, Narah and Zimra having y'all all to ourselves late at the O'Choda party...listing to y'all at Clovenshield while I trounced the guys at Bean...getting to see all the different instruments at the period instrument party...Jas being patient with me learning the davul...the amazing red vardo...the wagon train and being 6 of 10... just as Stayce said it was a very relaxing but full Pennsic, one of the best in my 16 years.

The Cure Sallee show was one of the most amazing shows I've ever seen! Dancing ATS with Awalim and Norman was one of the highlights for myself, as well as the walks around Pennsic late at night with Stayce or Jas discovering all the wonderful secrets of Pennsic! I'll never be the same again. -

Sun, August 17, 2008 - 6:05 PMthat was one of the best wanders ever, jt. after not being able to go for two years, it was so great to just re-familiarize myself with all the magic of night-time pennsic: the reflecting lake, the dark criss-crossing swamp paths, the sleepy serengeti. it was doubly cool to share it with someone who hadn't seen it before; it was like reliving my own first night treks! glad you enjoyed it.
